Most news organizations would not sign, including CBS, NYT, AP, WSJ, The Hill, Newsmax, Fox News, and The Washington Times. Those that signed included Gateway Pundit, LindellTV, and The Epoch Times.
On Friday, a judge overturned the pledge order on the grounds it violated rights of free speech and due process. The judge rejected the government’s argument that the restrictions were needed to prevent the disclosure of classified information. The Trump administration is appealing the ruling.
