Q1. Last week, President Trump announced Hamas, Israel, Turkey, Egypt and Qatar had tentatively accepted major parts of his peace plan for the Middle East. Yesterday, Israel and Hamas agreed to the first phase, a cease-fire in which Hamas will release all remaining hostages in exchange for Israel releasing nearly 2,000 prisoners.
The remaining phases of the plan aim to permanently end armed conflict between Israel and Palestinians, but there are sticking points. Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar may object that the plan no longer includes clear steps to a Palestinian state, which was removed at Israel's request. Hamas may not agree to lay down their weapons, nor the Palestinian Authority to required reforms, nor Israel to total withdrawal from Gaza.
The WSJ summed up the situation as "No participants want to publicly shoot down a plan that privately many don’t think they can accept in full. Trump is steaming ahead, calling everyone’s bluff by accepting their statements of support without acknowledging their reservations."
Do you agree that Trump is purposely overstating each party's support, hoping that will permanently break the deadlock, and if so do you think it's worth a try?

Q2. In a reversal, President Trump said late last month that Ukraine could possibly restore its borders before Russia's invasion and even take territory from Russia. Previously he had said Ukraine would have to concede territory to Russia as part of any peace deal.
Why do you think Trump made this change?

Q3. The Trump administration has designated several Venezuelan criminal organizations as terrorist organizations, including Tren de Aragua and the so-called Cartel de los Soles, which the US has described as a Venezuela-based criminal group. President Trump has accused Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro of controlling both groups.
The US has moved considerable military assets to the south Caribbean Sea, and carried out four known strikes on go-fast-style boats in international waters near Venezuela. In addition, the White House directed the US military to draw up plans to expand the campaign with strikes inside Venezuela, according to reports.
Do you approve of the administration targeting Maduro in this way, and why do you think they are doing it?
