Q1. In July, the Wall Street Journal reported that President Trump contributed a risqué message and drawing to a 2003 fiftieth birthday book for convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Trump denied he contributed to such a book, and sued the Journal $10b for defamation, saying it’s all “fake.”

Last week, the House Oversight Committee released a copy of the book, which they obtained via subpoena from Epstein’s estate.

Below left is the drawing/message at issue from the book, and on the right are three “Trump” signatures – Top is from the drawing/message, middle is from a 2003 thank you letter to George Conway, bottom is a 2000 congratulatory letter to Hillary Clinton.

Do you think the three signatures look the same?

Q2. The White House argues that the release of the book proves the message in question wasn’t from Trump because the signature doesn't match his, and he doesn’t do drawings.

Below are two images of drawings attributed to Trump that were sold at auction at Nate D Sanders Auctions in 2017 (left) and at Sotheby's in 2020 (right).

Which drawings do you think Trump did?

Q3. The birthday book is more than 200 pages of letters, photographs and drawings from dozens of Epstein’s associates. Some messages are standard birthday wishes, others are suggestive stories, innuendo, or references to Epstein’s sexual predilections.

Among those whose signatures appear on contributions to the book are Democratic politicians Bill Clinton and George Mitchell, prominent lawyer and Fox pundit Alan Dershowitz, fashion designer Vera Wang, Wall Street billionaire Leon Black, and top UK diplomat Peter Mandelson.

None have denied they contributed to the book, and association with Epstein forced Black from his job in 2021, and Mandelson from his last week.

Should someone contributing to Epstein's birthday book in and of itself bar them from leadership positions in business or politics?
