Joseph Valachi, a member of the Genovese crime family facing a life sentence, took a deal to testify before Congress, September, 1963. Library of Congress
Q1. Last week, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who had previously served as President Trump's criminal defense attorney, met for two days with Ghislaine Maxell. Maxwell is serving a 20-yr sentence for her role as partner to Jeffrey Epstein in their underage sex trafficking ring.

Blanche said he asked Maxwell about who else had a role in the trafficking ring, and would reveal what he learned from Maxwell "at the appropriate time."

If you could have chosen a person to question Maxwell in private, who would it have been?

Q2. Congress subpoenaed Maxwell to testify, but her lawyer said on Tuesday she would plead the Fifth unless offered immunity.

If granted immunity, she would not face further legal exposure, but her current convictions would stand unless overturned on appeal or pardoned.

Maxwell is currently appealing those prior convictions, and her legal team said she would welcome a pardon given her proclaimed innocence. When asked if he would pardon Maxwell, President Trump said he'd "not thought about it" but that he did have the power to do so.

Maxwell was previously convicted of perjury, in addition to sex trafficking, and was described by the Justice Department during Trump’s first term as having "willingness to brazenly lie under oath about her conduct."

Would you like Maxwell to testify before Congress, and would you like to see her pardoned?

Q3. In a 2002 New York Magazine interview, Trump called Epstein a close friend, though has since said the two had a falling out, and had not been in touch for many years. On Tuesday, Trump expounded on that saying the falling out was because Epstein was poaching employees from his spa at Mar-a-Lago.

A reporter asked if one such employee was Virginia Giuffre, who testified that she was first trafficked by Epstein as a 17-yr old in 2000. Trump replied, "I don’t know. I think she worked at the spa. I think so. I think that was one of the people, yeah, he stole her."

Numerous allegations, lawsuits, and the criminal conviction indicate that Maxwell played a significant role in procuring young women for Epstein, including Giuffre.

Do you think Maxwell knows when Trump was first aware of Epstein's sex trafficking?
