Q1. On Tuesday, in a policy shift President Biden gave the green light to Ukraine to use long-range missiles supplied by the US to strike Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously warned Western nations against such a move, saying it would represent NATO's "direct participation" in the Ukraine war.

Q2. On Sunday, Biden became the first sitting US president to visit the Amazon rainforest. The region is roughly the size of Australia, and acts as an enormous carbon sink. Its vegetation captures 20% of all the carbon captured by vegetation across the planet, and its soil holds the same amount.

During his visit, Biden signed a declaration making November 17th International Conservation Day and vowed that the US would spend millions on restoring land, planting native tree species, supporting biodiversity efforts and increasing fertilizer efficiency programs on the Amazon.

Q3. School bus manufacturer Bluebird, based in Fort Valley, GA, will receive $80m from the Dept of Energy via Biden sponsored legislation to help it transition to building electric busses, a grant that was conditioned on the company allowing its workers to unionize.

The grant checks several of Biden's industrial policy boxes: Clean energy, domestic manufacturing, a strengthened hand for labor, in a community that had suffered economically since the 1980s.

Do you support such a grant, and do you think the Biden Administration did much to help, or lay the groundwork to help, working class Americans?
