Q1. Last week, the House and Senate approved a bi-partisan $886 billion defense authorization bill. It provides for a 3% spending increase from last year's defense budget.

Do you feel the US should spend more, less, same as it does now on defense?

For context, defense is 12% of US federal expenditures, health care is 21%, education 13%, welfare 12%. The US spends 3.5% of its GDP on defense, China spends 1.6% of its GDP.

Q3. Senators Marco Rubio (R, FL) and Tim Kaine (D, VA) sponsored a provision in the bill that bars any president from unilaterally withdrawing from NATO — they would need approval from the Senate or other Congressional act.

Do you approve of this provision?
Do you think it was added to keep Donald Trump from unilaterally withdrawing from NATO should he be reelected?
