The Politician is the former Governor of South Carolina, and former Ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley (R, SC). Haley has announced she is running in 2024, and expressed the views in this poll at a town hall event in Iowa this past weekend. 

In July 2018, Haley had the highest net approval of any politician we've polled on (we started in 2012) at +31 (59% approved, 28% disapproved)

In our Jan 9, 2020 poll she finished first in our poll of Republicans for their preferred nominee in 2024 in the event Trump had won re election in 2020 and was ineligible in 2024. Other entriees in our poll were Trump Jr, Pence, Ivanka, Pompeo, Rubio, Cruz, Abbott. 

Finally, she finished in a virtual tie with Elizabeth Warren in a hypothetical general election matchup we asked about in 2018
