Star Chamber

Last week, we added two new features to our website: A ‘bipartisan’ designation to worthy poll comments, and an AI chatbot trained on our polls.

Regarding the bipartisan designation, users can rate each poll comment with a thumbs up or down, and as of last week, comments that receive a certain number of thumbs up from both “sides” (determined by rater’s Leanings scores) get a star icon indicating bipartisan support.

We want our comments section to be a place where users post insights or opinions that inform other users rather than attack them. Hopefully highlighting comments that receive bipartisan support is a step in that direction.

Bot Com

The chatbot is a new way for panelists to access our poll archive, joining search and filtering tools already in place. The bot is activated with a click of the chat icon on the lower right of the Results page.

The bot is trained only on our polls, so of course you can ask it about public opinion (ie Do Americans trust Bitcoin? but you can also ask it about a topic (ie Is NATO still relevant?) or even about broad subjects (ie What’s the deal with genetics?). The bot's replies will contain public opinion info of course, along with useful context. Be aware the bot is in beta, which means not all its replies will be created equal.

Please let us know what you think of the bipartisan star and the chatbot via the Contact Us link in our website’s footer, or the Feedback portion of your profile.
